The dress code for woman in the Islam culture:

Dress regulations in the Islamic culture are vastly different from the way people dress in other cultures. The women of the Islamic culture must dress according to the rules or they are seen as being disrespectful.

The dress regulations for woman are:

1. Clothing must cover the entire body, only the hands and face may remain visible.
2. The material must not be so thin that one can see through it.
3. The clothing must hang loose so that the shape of the body is not noticeable.
4. The female clothing must not resemble the man's clothing.
5. The design of the clothing must not resemble the clothing of the non believing women- meaning they are not allowed to dress according to what non Islamic woman wear.
6. The design must not consist of bold designs which attract attention.
7. Clothing should not be worn for the sole purpose of gaining reputation or increasing one's status in society
.

The reason why the Islamic culture is so strict in what the women wear is so the woman can protect herself from the lustful gaze of a man. This is the reason why Allah made these rules for the Islamic women so they guard their modesty as stated in the Quran:
" Say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty ; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what must ordinarily appear thereof. " [Quran: 24.31]
